PERSONAL STYLE: Being an artist, Angel can wear many different style of clothes depending on her mood. She could wear something with outrageous colors or some kind of oddly cut garment if she's feeling the urge to be rebellious.
For everyday wear she's like most people. Casual clothing. Skirts, jeans, leggings, t-shirts, tank tops, sweaters. She likes denim jackets and flannel shirts.
For shoes, it could be anything. From heels, sandals, boots and tennis shoes. It just depends on the outfit and her mood.
Personality
GENERAL PERSONALITY:
Angel started life as a pretty happy child. The events in her life have changed her quite a bit. She is more broody and dark now, more introverted. On occassion the happy child does get to come out.
Since becoming a vampire her life is much different and it has definitely affected her personality. As she learns to deal with the change she can get irritated and frustrated easily.
There is a lot of confusion in her now. Her emotions are heightened and she can be quick to anger. Everything is much more intense for her. She is not a bad person or even a bitch really, but she can come off a bit harsh sometimes because she has trouble trying to control everything.

LIMITS AND FLAWS:
Being a newly turned vampire, Angel doesn't really know how to use or control her powers. Since her maker left her alone she has had to figure things out on her own. Beyond the normal powers of a vampire she also aquired telepathy as her special power. Though, like all the rest she doesn't know how it works or how to control it. At this point, she just hears voices in her head sometimes.
She also was never much of a fighter as a human so was never trained in martial arts, boxing or hand to hand fighting or weapons.
History
Angelique was born on January 9, 1989 in Seattle, Washington. Her parents, Katerina Montgomery ('nee Jankovic) and Vincent Montgomery, were a young newly married couple who lived in the heart of the Seattle alternative, grunge culture of the time.
Katerina was an artist, she did drawing, painting and sculpting. Angelique's father, Vincent was a musician, a guitarist and was in a band that played the local club scene. Neither of her parents became particularly famous, but they were successful enough that they were able to make a living doing the things they loved.
Her mother sold pieces of her artwork and had some showings in local galleries. Vincent played in his band but also made most of his steady income as a session guitarist. Angelique's parents embraced the lifestyle of this alternative culture. There were always different people in and out of the house. Artistic and musical types. Some were just wannabe hangers on, types. There were also drugs and alcohol frequently done freely out in the open.
This was "normal" for Angelique. She didn't know anything different. For the most part she had a good childhood (at least from her point of view) and she was happy. Right up until her parents divorced in 1997, when she was eight.
Her mother was awarded full custody as the father's job seemed to "transitory" to the courts. They figured Angelique would have a more stable upbringing with her mother. Of course, that isn't exactly how things turned out.
For the next five years Angelique lived with her mother and watched her spiral down a dark path. The darker the path got the more her mother's art seemed to take off. Soon it was apparent that Katerina was of the impression that she needed the drugs and alcohol in order to fuel her artistic muse.
On top of that there were the men. Lots of men. None of them were particularly abusive or anything, but they just never were around long. Her mother didn't seem to care. During this time period is when Angelique started to become more introverted. She isolated herself and tended to stay in her room a lot. Working on her own artistic pursuits. Much like her mother she loved to draw and paint, she did some sculpting on occasion but she preferred the drawing and painting most.
Then in the summer of 2003 right before Angelique started high school, her mother died. She not only died, she committed suicide (or so her father had told her). What she didn't know was that her mother had really disappeared and her father had no idea what had happened. He told Angel that her mother committed suicide as it seemed the easiest way to explain the sudden death.
It wasn't a huge surprise to the fourteen year old Angelique, but to say it didn't affect her profoundly would be wrong. She retreated more into herself, into her art. It was also around this time that she started doing her own experimenting with drugs.
Now living with her father, the man loved her as any father does their child but he wasn't exactly prepared to take care of a teenage girl. Especially one whose mother had just killed herself. He did the best he could. He gave up his band, continued to do session work and got into the other side of the music business as a producer.
Angelique still did well in school, despite her experiments with drugs. Eventually she got a scholarship to an art school in Seattle. The Cornish College of the Arts. Everything seemed to be going fine until the end of her Junior year in College. That is when she found out that her father was dying. He had cancer and it was terminal. Her father had known about it for sometime, but didn't want to tell her until he had to. He had hoped she would be able to get through college and get out on her own before the disease took him. That was not to be.
Though, she did continue with college, she also did her best to help take care of her father. Her time in Art school she used to escape watching her father slowly dying. She got deeper into the drugs, another escape. There is a fine line between drug abuse and a true addict. Angelique was walking it. Angelique's father died in July of 2011, just weeks after her graduating from Cornish.
After her father's death and graduation she found herself lost and alone. She didn't know what to do with herself. She lived in the house that her father left her and she had some money from his life insurance and savings that she had inherited. She tried to work on her art but she found herself uninspired.
Hanging out with the party crowd she went through the motions. One night when she left the club by herself she was confronted by a strange man. He was easily able to overpower her and kept her mouth covered so she couldn't even scream. Angel desparately tried to fight but it was no use, he was much to strong, stronger than a human. Then she saw the fangs. She remembers him biting her and then feeding her his blood. The next thing she knew she was waking up in her own bed. It was the next evening and she was alone. The bite on her neck was healed and she found a note. The note said" "As you may have guessed, you are now a vampire. I am sorry I can not stay to help you learn. The basics for survival are to avoid direct sunlight, beware of those who may want to kill you for what you are, and you must drink blood to survive. Animal blood or blood from a blood bank will suffice, but the blood lust will be strong, especially at first. You were changed at the request of someone who loves you." That's all the note said and it left Angel wondering what the hell had just happened to her life. She was about to find out.
That was six months ago.

[dropcap]Angel lifted her head up off her knees and let it fall back against the wall as she looked up at Shane. She rubbed the bridge of her nose with her fingers, feeling a headache coming on. A little exasperated she took a deep breath and huffed it out, shaking her head. She looked at him for a moment, then looked away. Her eyes trained forward, finding a spot to focus on that wasn’t him as she listened to his responses.
Anyone that came along would find it odd. The way they communicated. Sometimes speaking out loud, sometimes using their thoughts. She rolled her eyes a bit at his joking attitude but still smiled when he called her Angel-belly. He was right on some points. There weren’t many other people, vampire or human who could understand what it was like to hear the thoughts of others in your head all the time. The effort it took to try and quiet your mind.
Angel swiveled her head and gazed at him again as he changed his tone. Speaking more seriously to her, trying to explain his perspective on the situation. She nodded her head. Chewing on her lip she tried to keep herself from getting upset. She was not going to cry.
“You’re right. Time is different for me. I’ve lived almost half my life here, in this place, with you. It’s all I know, it’s home.”
She paused, taking another calming deep breath. It didn’t matter how she ended up here or what the living conditions were. It was her home.
“I don’t have centuries to dwell and contemplate everything in my life. It’s not that I want everything NOW and I’m certainly NOT trying to force an answer from you. No one forces YOU to do anything.”
Angel pushed up off the wall and stood up. She walked toward him until she was standing right in front of him. Standing as close to him as she dared, tilting her head up to see his face.
Yeah… one day you might let yourself feel something for me. But… like you said, time is different for us. It could be too late. What are you going to wait until I’m old and grey? Or dead? Then you won’t have to actually deal with it, will you.
She stared up at him, making sure her thoughts were clear. Then trying to search his mind, probing it, trying to see if she could see what he was keeping from her. She gave up after a few moments. Closing her eyes as he touched her hair.
Fine… send me off to bed.
Angel turned away from him. She pulled the blanket tight around her shoulders. Slowly she started to walk back to her little space. Thoughts swirling in her head. She didn’t even attempt to push them away. Let him read her mind. Maybe someday he would understand, but that whole time thing was the issue. Everyday she got older, one step closer to death. He didn’t change, didn’t age. She was going to have to think things through. She was also going to have to work harder to control her special power. If he could hide things, manipulate things in peoples minds, then maybe she could do it too.[/dropcap]
