Personal Style: Kim stands at around about 5’8. She has very light blonde hair, which is long in length, coming down to the mid of her back and naturally wavy in style. Kim often wears her hair up, to keep it from getting in the way of her face, particularly when she’s at work. She takes pride in the way she looks, because being presentable makes her confident and if she’s confident she can do anything she puts her mind too. But she doesn’t obsess and she’s not one of these people who can’t leave the house without her face on. She wears minimal makeup as it goes, and often wears pale shades of pinks and peaches because they work well with her light skin and hair.
Her eyes are the focal point of her face; they are fairly narrow shaped and bright green in colour. Kim wears the most makeup on her eyes, often choosing medium to dark shades of brown, grey, purple or even blue to make her eyes ‘pop’ out.
She has a fairly rounded shaped face, with fine small features and high cheek bones which gives her face a rather structured look. Her skin is naturally fair in colour which is complimented by her light blonde hair. Her physique is slim, toned and defined which is achieved by many hours at the gym and participating in Yoga classes and undergoing a few sports activities. She is aware that if she didn’t put so much work into training that she’d become some big fat couch potato, her love for junk food is much too strong to give up so she has to work her ass off to stay trim.
When it comes to style, she has a habit of following some fashion trends, but not to the point where she throws her clothes out every time a season ends. She likes to look good and by looking good, means she does need to wear clothes that fit properly and look right on her. She’s fairly girly; she likes dresses as much as the next girl and floral prints are her weakness. She likes wearing neutral colours, beiges, light pinks but does sometimes go for darker shades. Her style changes with her mood and that goes for colour too.
Kim doesn’t have one particular style as she likes all kinds of looks. One thing she cannot live without is a pair of comfortable fitting jeans and old sneakers, yes, she likes her heels and pencil skirts but if she really had to choose, she’d pick comfort over style anyday.
Personality
General Personality: Kim is a very stable, hard-working, practical, methodical, and ambitious. Never losing sight of her goals regardless of how many obstacles are in her way. On the outside she is a cool, calm, reserved individual with powerful inner strength who possesses the innate ability to rise to the top through unflinching conviction and sheer perseverance.
Kim is a rather stoic person who more than anything else enjoys power, respect, and authority, and who is willing to toe the line for as long as it takes to achieve her goals. Inwardly, however, Kim may not be the self-confident pillar of strength that she appears to be, and when her power or authority is compromised, she may make flawed decisions that could cause everything she has worked for to go down in flames in a spectacular way. Even so, her personality is one that is firmly grounded in reality and who will consistently be the voice of reason in a chaotic world.
Though she may seem quite private and on the ball to outsiders sometimes, Kimberly is inwardly quite warm and sympathetic, often with a surprisingly quick wit. Kim’s general outlook is fairly rigid, and once she forms a view of the world, she will often stubbornly hold on to that view despite compelling evidence to the contrary. She may also be subject to a degree of pessimism, often seeing the glass as half empty rather than half full. Socially, Kim is direct and comfortable in new situations, approaching others at first with caution but the desire to give a fair chance.
When it comes to love and others, she approaches this just like she approaches anything else - with caution and reserve. Remember, though, despite her emotions and feelings being well hidden, inside she is extremely warm and caring. Kim is mostly known for being traditional, stoic, and even stodgy. Underneath is a loyal, sensitive, and yes - even witty partner waiting to come to the surface. Kimberly is surprisingly spontaneous at times, often doing or saying things others wouldn't necessarily assume her to. Once committed, she will provide you with stability, loyalty, and security. Clingy or needy others won’t suit Kim, because it is likely that she will hold her life plans above or on level with her friendships or partnerships, so a strong, self-confident person is best suited for her.
In any relationship she is a down-to-earth traditionalist. Once you have been admitted to her inner circle, she will prove a reliable, trustworthy friend who will suffer your shortcomings in silence rather than make a fuss. All in all, Kim is the type of person who will be there for you when you need her.

Powers, Abilities, Skills
As a born Witch and a long term practitioner of magic, Kimberly has some pretty useful skills under her belt. Like most Witches, Kimberly is able to cast spells.
Spell-casting takes a lot of commitment, not just anyone can cast a spell as most spells and rituals are often written or have to be performed in Latin. There is a correct form in which a spell should be spoken, not just in language but construction of the spell in question.
Kimberly is able to cast spells quite easily, though none of which she uses for personal gain. She is capable of casting spells to benefit herself, but chooses not to because she believes that by doing so is using magic for the wrong reasons. Along with casting spells, she has an understanding of potions and ingredients. These potions are not just used for magical purposes, but medicinal too.
As a born Witch, Kimberly inherited abilities. She is able to control and manipulate the elements, most specifically the element of air.
- Aerokinesis: Kims primary ability allows her to mentally control air and wind currents. She is able to create blasts of wind and is also able to maintain a sense of control on the strengths of these blasts. Kim can create a small wisp of wind or a strong gale-force blast. She is also able to create a vacuum of sorts that can potentially suck and move her opponents while also suffocating them. Kim, herself, is able to resist most forms of wind pressure. Finally, Kim is also able to glide along her own wind currents, effectively allowing her to levitate or fly in a sense.
- Aerial Assimilation: Kim’s ability has two main parts that make it work. The first and most important part is a sort of wind-sense, which allows her to sense where winds are blowing. For example, she could stand outside on a moderately windy day and 'follow' the wind mentally, getting hazy pictures of the places it blows through. If any of these are to her liking, she can focus on a spot, where she wishes to reappear, allowing her to dissolve her molecular structure, and travel through the wind, not entirely unlike a series of electrical signals, and subsequently reassembling herself at the spot she has chosen.
Strangely enough, the air that occupied the space that her body appears is sent back to the place where she used her powers to disassemble, as a strange form of feedback. This little oddity can occasionally cause a very brief but strange shift in temperature and humidity, but never enough to actually be significant.
Skills:
- Playing the Violin
- As a former sales representative for a pharmaceutical company and having a TCE (Tasmanian Certificate of Education) in Chemistry and Biology, she has an excellent understanding of science.
- Speaks fluent German (Step-father is German), French (Mother is French) and Latin.
Limits:
- Aerokinesis: Even though Kim can resist blasts of wind directed at her, she is obviously unable to resist the force of incredible acts of nature. Kim will ultimately be overpowered by hurricanes and tornados. In addition, as stated before, Kim can only glide through the use of this ability. Full-fledged flight is not possible. Furthermore, Kim must be careful with her use of aerokinesis and the environments she uses it in. Air currents are natural conductors for electricity and she could easily electrocute herself if she was careless.
- Aerial Assimilation: Through the use of this ability, Kim is only able to re-assimilate herself at a maximum, half a mile away. Kim is not able to re-assimilate herself from one continent to the next. She cannot be standing in New York City and appear in London. Furthermore, Kim must be mindful of any thunder and lightning storms. If she is caught in one, it would result in de-similation and would most certainly cause her an immense amount of pain. In addition, Kim finds it incredibly difficult to attain a good sense of wind currents during heavy weather like a lightning storm.
Flaws:
- Arachnophobia
- Doublejointed
- Nearsighted
- Scar on her left knee, she got from a surfing accident.
History
Kimberly Beckett was born on January 3rd, 1983. Kim was born out of wedlock to Aida Montgomery and Carl Logan.
Unfortunately, Kim never got to meet her father as not long after Aida fell pregnant, her relationship with Carl deteriorated. It wasn’t the fact that she was pregnant that destroyed their relationship, in fact; Carl was completely oblivious to the fact that Aida was with child but because Aida had a habit of being unfaithful to her partners. Kim was the second child born; because she had an elder brother Elijah who was born from Aida’s first marriage to Victor Davies. Victor was on semi-decent terms with Aida (though one could question how when it seemed that for the whole of their marriage Aida had been unfaithful) They married pretty young, when Aida was sixteen and she had Elijah at eighteen and shared custody of their first born son.
For a lot of her childhood it was just Kimberly and her mother. She stayed single for quite a while because now she her hands full with two children and a full time job to juggle (Elijah spent the weekends at his father’s and the rest of the time with her) and like siblings Elijah and Kim fought a lot. However, when Kimberly was three years old, her mother had a one night stand with a man and fell pregnant again. Not long after the age of four, Kim's mother gave birth to a baby boy, Jonah.
When Kim was eight years old, she started to notice that she was different from other children and that’s when she began manifesting her abilities. It started off in small outbursts but as time grew on it began to get increasingly difficult. Thankfully, she was able to confide in her mother who seemed pretty proud more than anything. Aida was different too and she understood the strain that had been placed on her daughter. She may not have been the ideal partner or spouse but she was the best mother Kim could have asked for. Due to the fact Aida had a history of struggling with her own abilities, she sought out help from a close friend whom shortly after introductions, Kim learned belonged to a coven.
She couldn't believe that her mother was a witch. Her mother kept it secret for some time, her whole life to be exact and it wasn't until her daughters abilities manifested that she opted to share her secret. It was a given that Kim's abilities came to her in her early teens because so did her mothers.
When Kim was 13 and in bloom, 18 year old Elijah moved away to his fathers. Aida had gotten herself a new boyfriend, a male witch who belonged to the coven and Elijah just wasn’t comfortable with another man trying to nestle into the father role. This really affected Kim because despite not always getting along with Elijah, he was her brother and she did love him and he’d been there for the whole of her life.
Peter and her mother began dating, Kim did buttheads with him from time to time but he was generally a nice man with a good heart. After a year together, Peter proposed that Aida sold her home and she and Kim moved in with him. He was a big businessman; he had his own company and was pretty wealthy. Their home was quite small in comparison because Aida’s salary wasn’t really the best out there and though she could provide for Kim, there was only so much she could give her daughter. They moved in with Peter and Kim began to bond far better with the man now that she was living under his roof and under his rules and after 6 months of living with him, her mother and Peter got engaged.
He was a very diplomatic and calm person, and because of that she found it easy to get along with him. He took an interest in her life, in her studies and her gifts, which he began to help her out a great deal. He taught her how to spell-cast, perfect learning Latin and German because up until now she only spoke English and French (her mother was French) and he believed that being multi lingual could really help her in life and Latin had many uses when being a witch.
Peter even went as far as getting Kim a private trainer to help her with her powers. Her parents became aware of her intellect, her teachers praised her for her hard work and dedication and encouraged them to aid Kim in further education, by enrolling her onto some courses that were technically beyond her age group but they felt she was ready.
Peter and Aida married and Aida shortly fell pregnant. To be honest, Kim was excited to find that she’d soon be welcoming a new sibling. She was 17 now and at the top of her game, she had the world at her ready to grab with both hands. Sia was born and Kim and she got on famously, she absolutely adored Sia and helped out with her whenever she could.
Being from Australia granted Kim the chance to delve into further education at a young age, because there were no age restrictions for college participation. So instead of starting college in year eleven, Kim was able to enrol herself into college nearing the end of year 9 (after four years of full-time study/120 credit hours). It helped that her father paid for her to do her studies and that Kim was a high achiever, taking top marks in not only her class but excelling higher than the rest of the pupils in her grade. She studied her bachelor‘s in Business Administration primarily at home with a paid tutor or during summer school.
Not only did she have a Bachelors degree in Business Administration but she also had a TCE (Tasmanian Certificate of Education) in Chemistry and Biology, each of which played a heavy part in her getting a job with her father’s pharmaceutical company as a Sales Representative.
After finishing high school and finishing her last 2 years studying for her bachelor’s degree, at 20 years old she got her first job and became a Sales Representative for her father Peters company. Kim worked at API but found herself returning back to education. She already had a bachelor’s degree in Business but now wanted to turn toward some kind of Medical degree. She liked being a Sales Rep but the idea of staying in this job, under her father for the rest of her life wasn’t something she liked the idea of which was why she found herself soon enrolling in an undergraduate medical program.
She enrolled at an Australian college that offered a bachelors degree in surgery/medicine and after completing that degree she went on to enrol in a postgraduate medical program for medicine. After two years of studies she passed the Graduate Australian Medical School Admissions Test (GAMSAT) and was admitted to a postgraduate medical program. Upon earning both of her medical degrees, she was offered a residency position at a teaching hospital in the states and she jumped at the chance. The postgraduate school she attended assisted her in setting up a residency at a local hospital in Las Vegas. Her first year of residency was spent as an intern. She got paid as an intern, but not a lot.
With all the studying there wasn’t much time for a social life and she rarely saw her family anymore, particularly after finishing her degrees and handing in her notice at work because she had to move to be closer to the hospital that she’d be situated at in and moving to America was hard work. Money was tight and since she didn't wish to take charity from her father, she worked a job at a local magazine. She was only a PA on a minimal salary but with that alongside the pay she got on shift at the hospital, she was soon kissing goodbye to her debts.
Working as a PA wasn't the most fun of jobs, for the most part she was treated like crap until a big break landed in her lap. They asked her to pitch some ideas on a topic they'd be publishing in the next issue and her thoughts drew a lot of attention. Kim was offered the assignment, to write the article and after doing such a great job found herself getting a promotion.
Kim was not only the Assistant to Editor in Chief but was now a Columnist. She owned her own segment in the magazine and before long become a household name and face. She was certainly going places and had to admit that she was really liking this new found career of hers.

The sun peeked over the horizon a stunning view of the city from her apartment, and apartment filled with expensive furniture. A steady THUMP, THUMP, THUMP echoed through the apartment. Like most mornings, Kim was up at the crack of dawn, working out. She spent a lot of time trying to keep trim, lifting light weights and running on a treadmill. She’d been going at it for sixty minutes now, running at a steady pace while her eyes beamed on the TV in front of her. She sprinted as the clock on her treadmill fell to zero. She hit the button on the treadmill drawing it to a steady stop. Then, stepping off carried herself toward the en suite to her left.
After getting showered, the woman returned to her bedroom, a towel around her body and her hair wrapped neatly in a smaller towel. Stepping up to the large glass mirrored wardrobe, she eased the doors open and began searching through the garments that were hanging in front of her. Kim picked out a canary yellow tank dress. Kim wasn’t a stranger to bright colours; she found they often changed her mood for the better. She wasn’t feeling particularly lousy today, which showed in the vibrant coloured dress she’d chosen to wear. She then proceeded to get dressed before checking herself a once over in the mirror and exiting the room.
Kim arrived in the kitchen; her apartment was very quiet, empty with no other life apparent but her own. Taking a bowl from the cupboard above her head, Kim set it neatly down on the counter, closed the door and shimmied to the left, opening the next cupboard. Taking out a box of cereal and pouring the contents into the bowl, she pressed both ends of the air tight bag to seal it and placed it neatly back inside the cupboard. She set down for breakfast, a nice bowl of Fruit Loops. As much as she liked to work out and keep trim, she still had a sweet tooth and loved to eat crap, especially crap with a shit tonne of sugar sprinkled on top.
As she sat to eat her cereal, she turned the TV on. As ever the two broadcasting was flooded with bulletins upon bulletins. Shovelling a spoon full of cereal in her mouth, her bright green eyes watched the TV. She went over her plan for the day, her notes written on the black diary she had beside her. She had no plans for work but had a good few lists to complete. Kim was a work-a-holic.
After finishing her cereal, she washed the bowl up, grabbed her bag, slid her shoes on and headed out. Today she was having a day off of work and heading into town to do a little bit of shopping before stopping off and getting a bite to eat with a friend. It was an early start for her, but she had a busy day ahead. She had to shop for supplies for the Saturday coming, her friend Michelle was turning 30 and they were throwing her a surprise party. She took this day off to do that and was armed with her list, ready to get moving.
She gushed out onto the busy streets, it was the morning rush hour after all and the streets were choked with traffic. The streets were milling with working-class desperation – business men, makeup caked secretaries and Asian street vendors. Kim blended well with them in her smart attire, but kept herself to her own; generally that was just how she rolled. She wasn’t one for friendly banter or moving along in large groups. Most of these people looked damn miserable anyway, and she wasn’t prepared to have her face bitten off for saying good morning to a random. But, that didn’t stop her from beaming a smile or two.
The blonde walked down the street, her hand bag strap over her shoulder, her long blonde wavy locks lying past her shoulders and a pair of black glasses on her face. She often wore contacts, but this morning she decided to give it a rest, her contacts irritated sometimes and on the rare occasion gave her pink eye. Now she had heard the rumour about pink eye and wasn’t about to give someone the satisfaction of assuming she’d fell victim to a sneaky pillow farter. Not a chance. Besides, the glasses made her look relatively smart, which was a good thing on top of that full head of blonde locks. People assumed all kinds of things from her.
As she sauntered down the street, her cell phone began to ring within her bag. Stopping, she slipped the strap off and dipped her hand inside reaching for the phone. A smirk grew on her lips as she viewed the caller I.D, it was her friend Kelly. Lifting the phone to her ear, she answered “Alright Kells, hows it goin’?” she beamed with a grin. She hadn’t been living here for long and was born and raised in Australia so it was only natural that her accent remained the same. To be honest, she liked her accent and it was often a mistaken or unrecognisable accent for others to hear. Plus, on top of that she was damn used to people often trying to imitate her, or what they thought an Aussie accent was, she had grown tired of hearing ‘G’day maayte! Throw another shrimp on the Barbie, Sheila!' and was certain that the next person who did that was going to get a serious kick up the arse.
Kelly spoke and it sounded like bad news, she furrowed her brows “Oh nooo, no, no..Kells, do not..do not even dare think about lettin’ me down today. I’ll go berko, seriously I will throw a fit if you let me down again.” She told her, but it appeared that Kelly had already made her excuses. She was supposed to meet Kim and help her with finding all the right things; she was still relatively new here and had no idea where to start looking.
Kelly was her guide, if you will and now it seemed as if this trip was going to be a lot longer and harder then she’d first thought. “Okay, it’s fine, I’ll figure somethin’ out, ‘onestly, Kell...no worries. You’re still gonna come Saturday though, right?...No? what d'ya mean no?..." she sighed frustrated. Kim ruffled the front of her hair a little, she couldn't believe this. But, at the same time this was Kelly. She couldn't go without a bloke, even if he did treat her like shit.
"Alright, well, we'll catch up soon. Take care..” Once the call was over, she stuck the phone back in her bag and went on with her plans. Shopping was going to still go ahead, just she'd be flying solo today.
